Guitar

It took me awhile to warm up to this guitar. I must've been insane. This guitar is so cool. Washburn N4 XX Twentieth Anniversary Edition. Limited run.

Paul Cornell interview on Newsarama

Newsarama recently did an interview with Paul Cornell on his upcoming run on Wolverine. Its kind of a standard publicity piece, but one response absolutely cracked me up. When asked about Chris Claremont & his influence, Cornell replied "He's vastly underrated, perhaps the second most important writer in superhero comics after Stan Lee. His attitude towards diversity broke ground, which has since been lost again. He is now sometimes mocked by people who aren't fit to shine his shoes. There ought to be a statue." Lol. Well done.

Johnny Rotten is humorous

Q: What's your view of the music business today? A: "There isn't one. The record companies fell apart - quite deservedly. Their corrupting, all-binding contract nonsense had to stop. But this modernization of sampling and regurgitating of old ideas isn't healthy either. Live music is healthy." Q: What about TV shows like "American Idol" and "The Voice"? A: "They're dragging us back into Las Vegas wannabes. And there's the painful tone of humiliation, the smirking at who gets voted off. And people now think that's the universe of music. That's utterly corrupting too." http://news.yahoo.com/john-lydon-boosts-public-image-album-090350744.html

Well this is different...

Haven't looked in on Blogger in awhile and this is what they've done? Well this kinda blows.

Too much work

Well I've officially taken on too much work and I don't know what to drop. I have deadlines approaching for everything & a couple of the projects haven't even been started yet. Grr. Not the time to be burnt out and broke.

Drawing messes with your head

Sometimes I think its better to live in a vacuum somewhat when it comes to art. It can really mess with your head after you've worked on pages for 9-10 hours to look online and see artists that are, simply put, better than you are. You kind of feel like you've worked for nothing. Which, if you've expressed yourself, regardless of your level of ability, simply isn't true. Doesn't change how you feel though.
