Wired
Ugh, I need to be asleep right now but I just can't seem to decompress. I'm so far behind on projects I just can't seem to put them away. I have commissions, charity cards, proposal pages and sample pages all due for somebody in the next week or so. I really wanted to go to Heroescon this year too. I think I need to stop taking commissions.
My inking is getting a lot stronger. My actual drawing seems a little better too. I'm also trying to improve my coloring, both traditional and computer based. I think I'll collect my color sketches into their own sketchbook next year. I need to find a printer for my naughtier sketchbook as well.
I've lost just under 30 lbs this year eating basically what I want. I started with effectively a macrobiotic diet and then took out the things I don't like about it. Maximum impact, minimal effort. Just the kind of diet I like. Its something I can maintain. I made a killer fried rice & vegetables tonight. I'm toying with the idea of a diet/cook book.
Fed won the French. Yay!
TV sucks.
I've been seeking out old Toth, Doug Wildey & Al Williamson comics. I am especially interested in Williamson's run on Secret Agent Corrigan. There's lots to swipe from in there. Remarkable work. I'm also catching up on Liberty Meadows. I like Cho. I would like to do a comic strip. The only new comic even worth mentioning is Morrison's Batman & Robin. The 1st issue of that is decent.
Movies. Hmmn. I've been buying old John Wayne movies. I actually saw a couple he made with William Wellman that I hadn't seen. Saw Kitamura's American film debut. It was squarely "meh." Not a Clive Barker fan really though. I need to order Ichi (Haruka Ayase doing Zatochi, not the Miike Yakuza gore-fest.) Looking forward cautiously to Zombie's H2 & Nispel's Conan but not really.
Haven't read a novel this year sadly.
Bought the new Tomb Raider months ago, still haven't fired it up.
Yui's new single "Again" is great. Bought Aya Ueto's live Neverever and have been endlessly entertained by that crap. Ordered Chikenfoot. Haven't gotten it yet.
Might go to WizardWorld: Chicago. I'll decide in a day or two for certain.
