I did this for a commission and I feel like it's the best face I've drawn in a long time, especially considering I didn't use any sort of reference. Just happens sometimes.

Bachalo's Rio Bravo tribute

Everyone who knows me eventually finds out that I like the movie "Rio Bravo." Some would describe it in a bit stronger terms, but I think the word "fanatical" is bandied about a little too freely myself. Needless to say, when I saw this parody cover Chris Bachalo did for an upcoming issue of the new comic book series "Living in Infamy", I nearly freaked. So much so, I've decided to share it, alongside his inspiration.

The series looks cool too. Here's the synopsis: LIVING IN INFAMY #1 - [of 4] (Raab/Hughes/Kirkpatrick/Lucas) For the past 40 years, the sleepy desert town of Infamy, AZ has been home to the Justice Department's best kept secret: a Witness Protection Program for reformed super villains. MR.

The second Comics in Time is up. This one is a little better but I'm still not completely happy. Cant put my finger on why yet.
